The Warriors will hit the road for three games, beginning Monday in Oklahoma City.
SAN FRANCISCO — Jonathan Kuminga has shown glimpses of his two-way potential this season.That wasn’t a problem Friday night in the Warriors’ 129-117 win over the Toronto Raptors.
After a slow start, the flood gates opened for Kuminga in a 2:49 span at the end of the third. Kuminga went 4-for-4 from deep to close out the quarter. He drained his last one with about a second left to put the Warriors up 98-94. Kuminga played the final 2:30 of the game after Kevon Looney fouled out. He finished with 15 points — 14 of which were scored in the second half — going 5-for-7 from the field and 4-for-6 from downtown.
While Kuminga has made plenty of highlight reel dunks over his first two seasons in the league, his 3-point shooting remains a work in progress. His 3-point shooting clip dipped from 33.6% as a rookie to 28.8% this season. Kuminga has said that’s an area of his game he hopes to continue to improve as he continues to develop into a potential foundational piece for the franchise’s future.
