A new puppy is now roaming the field at the Seahawks' Renton practice facility.
KIRO 7 News StaffRENTON — The Seattle Seahawks introduced their newest employee on Monday, revealing Rye, their latest member of the team’s “Turf crew.”
Rye’s official title is “junior wildlife specialist.” He’s set to spend the bulk of his job patrolling the Seahawks’ Virginia Mason Athletic Center practice facility in Renton.at the age of 9 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Over the course of his tenure, Turf was beloved as the Seahawks’ official dog, as well as its “wildlife manager and irrigation specialist.
