The shooting happened April 24, 2022.
PITTSBURG — A man accused of shooting another man six times during a road-rage fit that brought two dozen gun shots has been convicted on all the charges against him, authorities said.
Prosecutors proved that the 32-year-old fired 24 shots in the area of Frontage Road and Crestview Drive in Pittsburg on April 24, 2022. Authorities said six of those shots hit a man who was the target of the suspect’s rage and 11 others hit a nearby home that was occupied. Officers found the victim down at Crestwood Drive and Kirker Pass Road, police said. He survived the shooting.
Contra Costa District Attorney spokesperson Ted Asregadoo said the jury convicted the suspect on Wednesday of attempted murder; conspiracy; assault with a deadly weapon; shooting into an occupied dwelling or vehicle; possession of a gun by a prohibited person; carrying a loaded gun in a public place; and carrying a concealed gun.
Detectives needed months to identify the suspect. Information on where they found and arrested him was not available immediately.
