Non-profit dog shelters sometimes have a hard time keeping up with mounting medical bills. When the bill finally was too high for one dog, an Arizona shelter asked for help and got it in a big way.
, so many pups have a story of being saved, and the organization spends a lot of money caring for them.
"Had he not gotten those things repaired and fixed, he probably would have died from a serious infection," said Erin Askerand with the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation. "I wish we could help every single dog, but the ones that we can help certainly make a difference," Askerand said.
