EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. — A Fountain police officer was injured following a high-speed chase in El Paso County Thursday evening, Colorado State Patrol confirmed to Denver7.
Fountain Police Department Commander Mark Cristiani told our sister-station KOAA in Colorado Springs one of their officers was hurt and was being flown to an area hospital. He said he would not release any information about the officer until their family was notified. In a tweet, the sheriff's office said it was assisting Fountain police in the area of northbound I-25 at mile marker 134.
