The Iranian judiciary has registered and is currently investigating approximately 250,000 legal and criminal cases related to the alleged 'war crimes' of the United States and Israel. The cases are being examined in the 'special courts and courts' and are being investigated by various government agencies. The judiciary believes that this process will lead to a verdict in the near future and aims to prepare the documents in accordance with international standards to ensure the enforceability of the judgments outside Iran.

معاون قضایی دادستان کل کشور، عبدالصمد میرحسینی، در گفتوگو با میزان، خبرگزاری قوه قضاییه ایران، گفته است این پروندهها در «شعب ویژه دادسراها و دادگاهها» در حال بررسی است و نهادهای مختلف حکومتی در جمعآوری اسناد و تکمیل ادله با دستگاه قضایی همکاری میکنند. به گفته آقای میرحسینی، مقامهای قضایی امیدوارند این روند در آینده نزدیک به صدور حکم منجر شود و جمهوری اسلامی تلاش میکند مستندات این پروندهها «منطبق با ضوابط بینالمللی» تنظیم کند تا احکام صادرشده قابلیت اجرا در خارج از ایران را نیز داشته باشد.
او همچنین گفته است ایران در ارتباط با اقدامات ایالات متحده آمریکا علیه جمهوری اسلامی، هم در جنگ ۱۲ روزه و هم در جنگ آمریکا و اسرائیل با ایران شکایتی را بر اساس مفاد بیانیههای الجزایر در «دیوان داوری لاهه» در هلند ثبت کرده که همچنان در حال پیگیری است. بیانیه الجزایر مجموعه توافقهایی بود که در دی سال ۱۳۵۹ با میانجیگری الجزایر برای حلوفصل بحران گروگانگیری دیپلماتهای آمریکایی در ایران تنظیم شد و بر اساس آن، «دیوان دعاوی ایران و آمریکا» در لاهه هلند تشکیل شد.
در سالهای اخیر، مقامات جمهوری اسلامی ایران بارها از تلاش برای پیگیری حقوقی آمریکا و اسرائیل در دادگاههای داخلی و بینالمللی خبر دادهاند. این پروندهها طیف گستردهای از موضوعات، از تحریمهای اقتصادی و محدودیتهای دارویی برای بیماران خاص تا حملات منتسب به اسرائیل در داخل ایران و کشته شدن نیروهای نظامی و غیرنظامی را شامل میشود.
در اظهارات تازه معاون قضایی دادستان کل کشور به پرونده «بیماران پروانهای» هم اشاره شده است، پروندهای که پیشترجمهوری اسلامی ایران آن را به تحریمهای آمریکا مرتبط میدانست و گفته بود که تحریمها مانع واردات برخی اقلام درمانی مورد نیاز این بیماران شده است، اما آمریکا همواره گفته تحریمهایش شامل دارو و اقلام بشردوستانه نمیشود. آقای میرحسینی همچنین به پروندههایی درباره جنگ غزه و درگیریهای اخیر در منطقه اشاره کرده و گفته مستندسازی برخی موارد از جمله حمله به «مدرسه میناب» و پرونده کشتی «دنا»، در حال انجام است.
