A player who appears to be the coach can be seen on film blocking shots and scoring baskets.
There is some impressive video out there of a tall, girls basketball player blocking shots and making layups for a Virginia high school’s junior varsity team last week., the girl is actually a 22-year-old now former assistant coach for the team at Churchland High School, who filled in for a 13-year-old who missed the game to play in a club basketball tournament.
According to the report, the parents of that player contacted the station, and even provided video which you can see here, accusing Arlisha Boykins of pretending to be their daughter and playing in the game while she was away. WAVY-10 says it identified the player in the video as Boykins. It reported that Boykins is “no longer employed by Portsmouth Public Schools.”“Coaches always preach to the kids about integrity and those types of things, so I was shocked,” a father of one of the team’s players told WAVY-10.
