A 19-year-old woman was fatally shot Sunday while in a car in west Houston.
A 19-year-old woman was shot and killed early Sunday in a car in west Houston, police said in a news release.
Officers responded to a call of a shooting around 6:30 a.m. on the 9400 block of Westheimer Road. When they arrived at the scene they found a 19-year-old woman unresponsive with a gunshot wound, police reported.She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. Upon investigation, officers learned she was shot while in a vehicle near the intersection of Westheimer Road at Fondren Road.Anyone with information is asked to contact the Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or speak anonymously with Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
