خانوادههای شماری از زندانیان محکوم به احکام اعدام که قبلاً برای اجرای حکم به بخش قرنطینه زندان قزلحصار در کرج منتقل شدهاند، در روز یکشنبه ۲۸ تیر ۱۴۰۵ مقابل این زندان تجمع اعتراضی برگزار کردند.
بر اساس گزارشهای نهادهای حقوق بشری، این تجمع در اعتراض به خطر نزدیک شدن اجرای احکام اعدام و همچنین انتقال اخیر شماری از زندانیان محکوم به اعدام به بخش قرنطینه صورت گرفت. گزارشها حاکی از آن است که نیروهای امنیتی و نظامی به تعداد حدود ۲۰۰ نفر با یورش به این تجمع مسالمتآمیز، با شرکتکنندگان درگیر شده و برخی از آنها را مورد ضربوجرح قرار دادند و در نهایت تجمع را پرتاب کردند.
همچنین یک شهروند حاضر در صحنه ادعا کرده که نیروهای امنیتی پس از مشاهده فیلمبرداری از صحنه، قصد توقیف تلفن همراه او را داشتهاند و او را مجبور به ترک محل کردهاند. این تحولات در شرایطی رخ داده که زندانیان واحد ۲ زندان قزلحصار از تاریخ ۲۲ تیر ۱۴۰۵ در اعتراض به ادامه اجرای احکام اعدام و همچنین انتقال برخی از زندانیان به سلولهای انفرادی، دست به اعتصاب غذای گسترده زدهاند.
گزارشها تأکید میکنند که پیش از این، شش زندانی محکوم به اعدام به سلولهای انفرادی و ۲۲ زندانی دیگر به بخش قرنطینه زندان منتقل شدهاند که این اقدامات باعث افزایش نگرانی خانوادهها از imminent اجرای احکام شد. نهادهای حقوق بشری از این برخورد با تجمع مسالمتآمیز خانوادهها انتقاد کردهاند و خواستار احترام به حق تجمع و آزادی بیان گرفته و همچنین توقف فوری اجرای احکام اعدام و بررسی شرایط زندانیان معترض میکنند.
